We love sharing Jesus’ love with new people. When you visit us, we’ll welcome you with open arms and do everything we can to make you feel at home.
Still, walking through the doors of a church you’ve never attended can be intimidating. You probably have questions – we’ll answer them right here, so that you can know what to expect on a Sunday morning.
WHAT’S A WORSHIP SERVICE LIKE?
As believers, Jesus is at the center of everything we do. That’s especially true when we gather together for worship. Jesus meets us in his Word and gives us comfort and strength. We give Jesus our thanks and praise.
To help us keep Jesus as the center of our worship, we follow a pattern of worship called the liturgy. It contains scripture readings, hymns, prayers, and a sermon. But don’t worry! You don’t have to memorize anything. When you come, you’ll receive a worship folder that will guide you through it all.
WHAT MESSAGE WILL I HEAR?
During the worship service, Pastor will deliver a 15-20 minute sermon. His message will be biblical – based on God’s Word. Since the bible is all about our problem of sin and God’s solution in Jesus, you can expect to hear about both in the sermon. He’ll apply those timeless truths in a timely, practical way, showing how Jesus impacts your everyday life.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Some of our members come in t-shirts and jeans. Others come in suits and ties. You can come as you are! We aren’t worried about what you’re wearing.
WHAT DO I DO WITH MY KIDS?
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them.” We couldn’t agree more. We love kids, and we’d love to have yours in worship with us.
DO I NEED TO GIVE AN OFFERING?
We do gather an offering every Sunday. It’s part of our worship, and it supports our church’s efforts to share Jesus with our community and the world. But we never obligate anyone to give – especially our guests.
